Are you eligible to vote?
To vote in a federal election, you must:

be a Canadian citizen

be at least 18 years old on election day

prove your identity and address
Register to Vote
If you've registered to vote, you'll receive your Voter Information Card in the mail by April 11. Your voter card includes where and when to vote. You can still vote if you did not receive a voter card, or have not yet registered.
Visit the Elections Canada website for more information on how to register, required ID to vote, how to update your voting information, and how to vote early. Information on accessible voting stations in your area and assistance with language or sign language can also be found online.
