Celebrate Culture Days at the Library

Culture Days is back at Richmond Hill Public Library! On Saturday, Sept. 21, join us at Central Branch for cultural performances and activities for all ages.

Culture Days is a national festival that inspires public participation in arts and culture. At the library, it's a great opportunity for local organizations and people to bring creativity and community together through drama, music, dance and art.

Drop by Central Branch for a whirlwind of free music, dance, and art workshops. Try out Chinese calligraphy, sing with a choir, polish your Bollywood dance moves, and more.

Experience Culture Days through City Events

From Sept. 20 to Oct. 13, enjoy a diverse line-up of free City of Richmond Hill arts and culture events, including the screening of "Barbie" at Moonlight Movies (Sept. 20), the ArtWalk (Sept. 22), and a concert by Mimi O'Bonsawin at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (Sept 30). Plus, discover thought-provoking exhibitions like "Outcome of the War of 1812: First Nations Betrayed," or take part in exciting heritage scavenger hunts and guided or self-guided walking tours throughout the City.

Are you a local artist that wants to give back to the community and showcase your work? We are currently accepting applications from artists, musicians, performers, as well as cultural organizations interested in participating in Culture Days festivities at Central Branch on Sept. 21

If you or your organization is interested in participating, please fill out the application form below. The deadline to apply is Aug. 10.  All submissions will be reviewed by RHPL and RH City staff, and final selections will be made based on fit within Culture Days criteria, RHPL programming priorities and capacity. We will contact organizations to confirm their participation by early September.
