In the Shadows Exhibit at Central Branch

Tazeen Qayyum is a Pakistani Canadian, multidisciplinary artist based in Oakville. Trained as a miniature painter of South Asian and Persian traditions, Qayyum continues to explore new materials and processes through drawing, installation, sculpture, video and performance. Her exhibit, In the Shadows, is on display at Central Branch in the Glass Case Gallery until June 1.
Celebrate Nowruz at a Special Storytime Event
On Saturday, Mar. 29 from 1:30–2:30 p.m., join us in the Kids Corner at Central Branch to celebrate Nowruz! Hear and share songs, rhymes, and stories in Farsi in this storytime for caregivers and children. Presented by EarlyON Child and Family Centres. This event is suitable for kids and families 0–6 years.
Virtual Classroom Visit with Sahar Golshan and Shiva Delsooz

Attention teachers! On Tuesday, Mar. 18, don't miss this exciting virtual author event for Grades 1–3. Sahar Golshan and Shiva Delsooz will read and draw from their picture book, So Loud!, a story about finding your voice that takes place during the springtime celebration of Nowruz. We recently caught up with the author and illustrator team to talk about what they love about connecting with students and sharing stories.
