Rent a Room for Your Next Event
The library offers creative, flexible and convenient community meeting spaces at all four branches. Meeting rooms can be booked for a fee by not-for-profit organizations and commercial businesses on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How to Rent a Room
Follow these easy steps to rent a room at the library:

Go to the booking webpage to book a room.

Select the branch for your booking.

Select the room and date from the calendar. Individual room rates and features are listed.

Once selected, read over your booking details and terms of use.

Fill out the online form to submit your booking for review. Library staff will respond within 1-2 business days to complete booking and process payment.
Please note: Reservation not guaranteed until payment received in full. All fees are subject to HST. Find full details in our Meeting Room Rental Policy.
Library Rooms and Rates
Browse the room information below to find the room that's right for your meeting or event. Be sure to remember: setup and teardown of tables and chairs must be included in your booking time and are the renter’s responsibility. For end-of-day rentals, the room must be vacated 15 minutes before closing.
Central Branch
Centrally located in the heart of the city, Central Branch is the largest and main branch of RHPL. This beautiful and inspiring space is perfect for hosting events, with meeting rooms located on the second floor for added convenience. Enjoy a cup of coffee at our on-site cafe while you prepare for your meeting. Central Branch combines modern amenities with a welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for your next event.

Oak Ridges Branch
Located in north Richmond Hill, Oak Ridges Branch is our newest branch, showcasing innovative and modern design with a strong focus on environmental sustainability. With a Certification Award for Environmental Design, this branch boasts plenty of natural light and expansive windows, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. The Oak Ridges Branch is an excellent choice for those seeking a contemporary and eco-friendly venue for their events.
