Get Ready for a Legendary Summer!

Who else could offer celebrity guests, weekly kid meetups, and prizes for reading all summer long? Your local library can! Join Richmond Hill Public Library's free TD Summer Reading Club and discover new ways (and new reasons) to get excited about reading.

Our free Summer Reading Club runs until August 27, 2022, and is appropriate for kids in preschool to Grade 8.

Here's How it Works

All summer long, your child can read magazines, books and comics (listening to others read out loud counts, too!). The more you read, the more squares you can cross off on the SRC bingo sheet, and the more chances you have to win prizes!

  • Register for the Summer Reading Club (SRC) at the link above. Registration is free and open to children from preschool to Grade 8.
  • Pick up your SRC kit at your nearest RHPL location. In addition to some fun swag items, your kit includes a log book where you and your child can keep track of their summer reading journey, and a bingo card!
  • Attend our SRC programs. See a full list of programs below!
  • Log what you've read in your Summer Reading Club log book, which can be found in your SRC kit, or downloaded here.
  • Fill out the SRC Bingo card for your chance to be entered into a draw for prizes. Bingo cards must be returned to an RHPL location by August 27. Each square counts as one entry into our prize draw!
  • Check in at your RHPL branch during the summer to log your reading journey, get on our Wall of Fame, and check out books, magazines, and more!
