Looking for a place to study?
Study after hours at the library! Richmond Hill Public Library will be extending hours at Central Branch and Oak Ridges Branch from Monday, Nov. 25 to Thursday, Dec. 19. Students (high school, post-secondary, or anyone studying for professional exams, etc.) can visit either branch to use study space and wireless internet during this time.
Extended Hours
Mondays to Thursdays: 9:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
Saturdays/Sundays: 5:00–9:00 p.m.
Please note: There will be no extended hours on Fridays.
During extended hours, library computer use, borrowing materials, and support from our team is not available, but study spaces remain open.

- Is parking available during extended hours?

Our parking lots will be available during extended study hours, but the parking garage at Central Branch will be closed.
- Am I allowed to leave the branch during extended hours?

During extended hours, the branch will close to the public and study space will be available for use. All persons who wish to study in the library after hours need to be in the branch before the branch closes to the public. You won’t be able to re-enter if you leave the library during our extended hours.
- Can I access computers or the internet during extended hours?

While our devices will not be available for customer use, you are encouraged to bring your own device and access the library’s free Wi-Fi. Support for accessing Wi-Fi will not be available.
- Can I bring food into the branch?

It's recommended that you bring any food with you during extended study hours. Ordering food for delivery inside the branch or outside catering of food is not permitted.
