Library volunteers must be a high school student (Grade 9-12), and must either live or attend high school in Richmond Hill.

To start your volunteering journey with us, you’ will need to complete the following steps through the City of Richmond Hill’s website:
Build your online profile through the volunteer database
Register yourself to attend a volunteer orientation session
Complete your Accessible Customer Service training
Submit any required forms
Once these steps are complete, you can sign into your account and find a volunteer position that best fits your abilities and interests. You can also use the database to sign up for shifts, log your volunteer hours, and set volunteer goals. All RHPL volunteer opportunities are posted on the city's database.
