Join the Summer Reading Club

The TD Summer Reading Club is back! Registration is free and open to children ages 0-12. Visit your nearest branch to register your child after June 24. Your registration includes a SRC kit with some fun swag items, and a log book where you and your child can keep track of their summer reading journey. 

Plus, visit the library every week to connect with other members of our Summer Reading Club. Swap reading recommendations, play games, create themed activities, explore tech, and more!

Explore the Outdoors with Our "Library of Things"

The library wants you to get outside this summer! Borrow binoculars for your next family walk, tools to use in your garden, or a spikeball net for a game with friends at the park. Our new "Library of Things" offers free access to members to a wide selection of items, tools, and equipment. Borrow sports and fitness equipment, home and garden tools, and more. Coming soon to Central Branch.

Visit the Hope and Healing Art Exhibit

Métis artist Tracey-Mae Chambers brings her body of work representing her personal journey of hope and healing in a new art installation at Central Branch. As a member of the Métis Nation of Ontario, Chambers travels across Canada, creating site-specific installations at historical residential school sites, cultural centres,museums, and public spaces. The display is on now until Aug. 25 in the Glass Case Gallery.

Borrow an Experience Pass

Borrow an Experience Pass with your library membership and get free admission to select museums, art galleries, and parks. Participating partners include: Aga Khan Museum, Black Creek Pioneer Village, The McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Ontario Parks, and the Royal Ontario Museum.

Summer Library Love Contest: #RHPLSummerLove

Join us for our Summer Library Love Contest! Share how you have enjoyed and utilized the library this summer on social media. Whether you are diving into a gripping novel, attending a workshop, exploring our digital resources, or borrowing items from our Library of Things, we want to see how you are making the most of your library membership. 

To enter, simply post a photo or video on social media using the hashtag #RHPLSummerLove and tag our RHPL account. Share what you have been enjoying at the library, whether it is a cozy reading spot, a fun program, or a borrowed item.
